A genuinely lovely zoo, planted and paced so it does not feel like a city attraction. Phoenix Park around it is one of Europe's great urban parks, so you can stretch the day for free.
Our recommendation. Zoo in the morning, Phoenix Park picnic after. Leave the dog in the park, not at the zoo gate.
